SHORT-NOTICE CARE STAFFING
When a shift needs covering, start with a local search.
Contesto RapidCover helps domiciliary care providers, care homes, supported living services and other care settings find suitable local care staff when sickness, unexpected gaps or temporary pressures leave shifts uncovered. We coordinate the request, check the match and keep you informed.
Availability depends on the role, location, timing and suitable worker capacity. We confirm each booking in writing.

Clear information from request through to attendance.
RapidCover is presented by Contesto and powered by GlobalHaus Workforce.
✓ Urgent, same-day and planned temporary shift enquiries
✓ Suitable workers matched to the assignment and location
✓ A names contact to coordinate updates and changes
A CLEAR ROUTE TO COVER
How RapidCover Works
We take the staffing request through a defined process so the provider knows what is confirmed and what still needs attention.
1
Tell us what is needed
Share the site, shift time, role, duties, required skills and the provider contact who can authorise the booking.
2
We check the match
We look for an available worker whose checks, experience and role clearance fit the assignment and travel requirements.
3
We confirm and follow up
Once authorised, a suitable worker accepts, final checks pass and we confirm attendance.
A request is not a confirmed booking. We will give you a realistic update as the search progresses. If suitable cover cannot be secured, we will tell you so you can continue your own contingency arrangements.
DESIGNED AROUND LOCAL CAPACITY
Support for providers. Fair opportunities for workers.
Contesto RapidCover helps care providers across England find suitable local care assistants and support workers when additional staffing is needed. Whether supporting people in their own homes or in residential and supported living settings, we aim to connect providers with the right staff for their needs.
Cover is available in approved local areas, with roles and working hours agreed in advance. Weekend and waking-night support may also be available depending on the service requirements and supervision arrangements.
✓ Urgent, same-day and planned temporary shift enquiries
✓ Repeat assignments where suitable workers are available
✓ Clear Assignment details, confirmation and attendance follow-up
✓ Worker enquiries considered against actual local demand
What makes a safe match?
Before a booking is confirmed, the assignment information and worker suitability are checked for the specific role. We consider duties, working conditions, relevant experience, competencies, supervision and travel arrangements.
Workers are offered assignments only when required checks are complete and current. They receive clear information about the work and can raise concerns or decline unsuitable work.
Workers do not pay a fee to register interest or find work through RapidCover.
Outside the initial scope
RapidCover does not currently cover nursing, complex clinical work, children’s services, direct family bookings, domiciliary rounds or isolated home visits.
What the service does and does not do
RapidCover coordinates staffing supply. The care provider remains responsible for care planning, care and clinical decisions, supervision at the service and its own immediate contingency arrangements.
RapidCover does not independently assess people’s care needs or direct personal care.
WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP
Designed to support your existing arrangements.
Before a provider uses the service, we agree the relevant sites, authorised contacts, roles, operating hours, booking route and commercial terms. An existing Contesto call-handling arrangement does not automatically include RapidCover dispatch or agency staffing hours.
Membership or access arrangements, where offered, are explained separately from charges for supplied staffing. The full cost and approval needed for a booking are made clear before you commit.
GET IN TOUCH
Choose the form that fits you
These forms are separate so a provider request reaches the right team and worker interest can be handled as a recruitment enquiry.
